Our family is Clan MacFadyen and thankful to Clan Maclaine of Lochbuie. Our forefather, Andrew McFadden, immigrated to America in 1718. With the help of the Clan, my family and I, three generations of us, were able to visit our ancestral home on the Isle of Mull, Lochbuie. It was humbling to stand where our ancestors stood about 1,000 years ago. (see below) All of us left more connected to who we are, what we are, and what we believe in. I have attached several photographs. Thank you all and, especially, thank you to the Jim and Patience Corbett and Chief Lorne MacLaine of Lochbuie.
Hi Cousin! My 2x Great Grandfather was John G McFadgen, born in Kilfinichen, Scotland in 1849. He and his parents emigrated to Canada in the early 1850's. They and his children and grandchildren are all buried in Valley City, North Dakota, where my grandparents grew up. I live in Colorado. I hope to visit Lochbuie someday too!
